The one thing that is really good about the November-April timeline is there are a lot less big bangs that run during that time. Or they're reverse big bangs, so there's less pressure on the word counts. So I am very much for November-April. :)

Seeing the status of the poll as it is now, it will be November-April (possibly starting in October, depending on my schedule, but still) It is a valid point. Summer seems to be the big bang season.

Yeah, it is. Mostly because that is where a lot of people have free time, but it also makes it insane. :)

Since the mini bang seems to be popular, there might be a summer round with just a mini, and then both mini and big bang in November. But that will have to be a later poll.

Hey, slowsunrise, are there going to be any sort of lingering issues with the functionality of the comm since you stepped up to be our mod without having full access, or have you gotten the access you need now? I'm just wondering, because it would suck for you or any additional mods to have to be responsible for posting multiple stories next round in the event that the authors can't get their posts to stop dropping into the moderation queue. I got the secondary solution you gave us to work for posting, since it dropped my first post in the queue, but I wondered if you'd been able to get full access or if we needed to consider creating a new community.

I still haven't got full access (I had to redo the entire masterpost when that failed me too) but I hope that the original mod can find at least time to give me that before the second round starts. Otherwise, yeah, It's kind of a shitty situation, but if the main round won't be until November, she has some time to do so, should she not wish to return as a mod.

Much as I hate to suggest it because the comm already exists and stuff, but there IS always the option of making another community to run Round 2 through. But only if Our Original Fearless Leader can't be reached to turn over the leadership.

I meant to add to that last one, but I agree with cheeky_duckie. Multiple mods would both help you out immensely and smooth some things over. Less stress for everyone, but definitely for the mods themselves. It's always easier with someone having your back. Also, communication is key, both as the community as a whole and between participants, writers, authors, whatever. More communication would help immensely, even though I'm pretty sure that won't be much of a problem considering how fantastically you handled things.

I had fullmetal_cute to help me out now in the end, but the plan is to be at least two mods, yes. Either the original mod comes back and the two of us handles things, if fullmetal_cute wants to help again or if I get a entire new mod, but we will at least be two. And thank you for the last comment! I'm glad that the big bang finally worked out.

Apologies for taking so long to get to you, I was without internet when this post went up. I'd love to do another round as sub-mod (I can be in charge of the beatings until moral improves!), though I'd suggest having 3 to 4 mods total, just in case.

I think the November-April idea would be especially good to give people a chance to focus on other things. I know I for one have a number of other fics I want to write before I get back to the superwho world :P But I definitely want to see another bb. This one has been pretty fab, even with the bumpy road.

The main round will be November-April: posting in May, but in the meantime, we'll do a minibang for those interested. I am happy you have enjoyed this bang!
