that totally ignores the reality of the struggle facing the average black man in this country, they are born into poor areas of cities, its a cycle that needs to be broken.

statistics are pretty lame, cause does that also tell the financial status of the majority of black males in the country, where they are raised, what kind of schooling they were able to obtain, are they from new orleans. statistics dont realy mean much of anything

dude your supposed to infer all of that from the statistic, like yeah blacks are poorer than other groups and poverty leads to crime.

this statistic is supposed to make you say damn, we need to focus on this for a while instead of some bullshit like iraq

I agree with eric, but I think this statistic sticks to the fact that blacks are still being oppressed in this oh-so-grand country of ours

too poor to live in a good neighborhood & have even fair education

obviously means

more-likely to be introduced to crime, drugs, etc.

I see no problem with this statistic, and I believe it to be true, it's just sad.

exaclly kayla

thats the whole fucking point

that no matter what they say, how we are supposed to ignore race, black folks just dont have equal opritunity.

the environment they are raised in leads to breaking the law, its not their fault.

we need to focus on helping that segment of the population, not punishing them
