not everyone shares your interests -- enough to the point where they dig as deep as you do in the issues you surround yourself in. i know it's important and, i personally, am trying to get to know the world outside of this bullshit country better (though not to the extent at which you are...only by talking with people), but a lot of people have been given the belief that the world is the way it is and nothing will ever be able to change that wich leads to anxiety--and the thought of nothing changing leads people to direct their attention otherwise. the news is depressing, and because of the former way of thinking, less and less people are getting interested. SO, what we have to do is change the way people think to the best of our ability, instead of complaining about how fucked up everything is. become a teacher! a politician. or, we can simply start that revolution we talked about over the summer ( ... )
