I don't think I've ever heard someone say you were dumb in regards to your intellect but I'm sure people have said you were dumb for the decisions you have made or the opinions you have expressed but everyone has had that happen to them. My opinion might not mean much to you but in life there will always be people who disagree with you and they won't be able to articulate their views any better than by saying that you're dumb. Those are the people that I might consider to be stupid. Maybe I just like people to be able to justify their opinions a little better than saying "That's just how I feel about it" without offering any concrete evidence.
