I wonder why people never just post short, random things on LJ like you might on Twitter or Tumblr or Facebook.  Or... maybe they do ( Read more... )

I don't start my internship til the 24th. I'm on the pinch hit list, so if you need me, let me know.

Aww! Thanks! :-)

Yeah, only match me if you think my writing style would be okay for the recipient, you know? Like, I'm obviously not good at angst or crack, so if you don't need someone like me, I'm not gonna be heartbroken lol!

*tries to figure out your icon* *fails*

haha, ok. i mean, i also haven't had a chance to read your submission fic yet, so that's another consideration: that i should probably do that first, to get a better feel of your writing. but thanks for that tip about crack and angst. :P

I like Men of a Certain Age, too, although this season has been too dealership-heavy for me.

yeah... i kinda see what you mean.

the real problem i have with MoCA is that i don't think it's that well suited for the really short seasons they've got. (i mean, honestly, no show is... but this is one of those where it really shows). i feel like there's so much more story to be told, you know? but now we have to wait a whole other year to get to see it. and by then we won't care about it as much. :\

i feel the the dealership stuff could've worked better if the season had been longer, so they could fit in more of the other stuff as well. y'know?

but anyway... i'm really glad someone else i know actually watches that! so many of my favorite shows are ones that don't really have a big following, so it's hard to ever find anyone to talk about them with.

and that's just always so disheartening.

It's coming back in the summer. They filmed 12 episodes but they're showing the "back six" in the summer for better ratings.

oh. didn't they advertise this last one as the season finale, though?

i dunno, i feel like i can't keep track of these things any more. so many cable shows have mid-season finales, nowadays, that feel exactly the same as the actual finales do... so it gets hard to tell where one season actually ends and the next begins.

seriously, television. make up your mind, already!

i apologize not only for the length of this thing, but also the typos I'm sure are in there. misdreya January 14 2011, 21:24:58 UTC
DOOD I've got this hat with furry ear flaps that I call my "Fargo" hat, after the movie of the same name. I've had it for four years now, and basically wear it every day from the beginning of November till the end of February. AND I TOTALLY WEAR IT IN THE HOUSE.

We should make like a Wearing Hats Is Cool club or something.

That guy in the subway? Eh. I think I read in a Cosmo somewhere that sometimes guys will flirt and get a number just to boost their own ego. I mean, it IS an ego boost. Either way, fun interaction is always good interaction, yes?

Supernatural... I'm so out of that show it isn't even funny. I used to be hard into it, like, HARD. The season finale last spring had me LITERALLY SCREAMING INTO A PILLOW and kicking around and calling my friends... Now I don't even care that it's on.

Wait, where's my GIF for how I feel about that show? *rummages around in photobucket* OH yeah, here it is;
