Love love loved this movie. Jon and I saw this a while ago and couldn't believe it didn't have a wider release. It is a great movie and you cannot believe the things he does. Jim Carrey did and amazing job and Ewan McGregor was fantastic as usual (love the accent)

Unfortunately I don't think it got a wider release because of some of the scenes between Carrey and Ewan. It's a stupid shame, it's a great movie. And I adored Ewan's accent in it too. It just made him even cuter, as if that was even possible.

You are right and it is very sad. I also wanted to add that I think Steven Russell is a genius, a criminal - yes, but a genius no less

I hope that at the very least it gets some type of Oscar buzz and then perhaps it will get a wider release.

I know what you mean about the real Steven Jay Russell. And if his motivations were anything like those in the movie, partially out of love and wanting to protect those he cares for, I can understand. He certainly took it to an extreme that I could not. But there is a certain weird type of admiration I have for someone if they can love another person that deeply and fully to go to such great lengths.

Yay! I saw the movie last weekend after it was lauded on Doug loves Movies. I thought it was adorable and hilarious and fantastic. Ewan McGregor will never not be gorgeous.
