A/N: Not a good summary writer. haha. sorry okay?
She stepped inside the train. The train is near-empty because it’s the first station but she chose to stand up to give way to those people who weren’t capable of standing up inside the moving vehicle. She’s young, she thought. She can cope up with the train’s speed while standing up. And her legs weren’t that tired; it’s so early in the morning and she has plenty of time ahead before her first class starts. She rested her back at the window for support. She didn’t hold on to the handrails either; she knows she can balance herself just by resting her back onto something.
The train stopped at the second station; the train is beginning to get full so she compressed herself at the train; her back still resting on the window. The train became half-full as the beep echoed inside the train, signaling it to close its doors and move on.
The train stopped at the third station; people inside compressed. Then suddenly, an arm popped out from somewhere infront her; and she looked at the owner-a chubby-cheeked boy, wearing a casual cap and a t-shirt. His palm rested beside her head, some of her hair strands pinned on it. He’s kind of blocking her from the stampede of people.
She looked at him and she felt her cheeks getting hot. He looked at her too, making her panic and look at the other side. “Ouch!” She yelped as she felt her hair pulled because of the sudden movement of her head.
“Oh, I’m sorry.” The guy shifted his weight on his other arm-this time, his right hand.
Her cheeks were getting warmer each second, and there are 6 more stations to her destination. She just wishes for the people inside to vanish so that she can have her peaceful travel back.
The fourth station-chaos. The chubby-cheeked guy is now using his both hands to support his weight. His palms were pressed hard on the train’s glass window. Everything behind the guy is chaos. It’s a usual scene especially in the rush hours like this.
She looked at the guy’s wrist beside her head; in his bracelet the characters ‘dai’ and ‘ki’ were written. She assumed it’s his name. Or someone close to him’s name.
He’s so close. She thought. She can almost smell his faint perfume, and his warm breath on her forehead makes the hairs in her nape stand on its ends. He’s so close, that the only thing that separates them from each other is her bag, which she positioned infront of her. The bag is now pressed between their bodies.
“Are you okay?” He asked softly, “I’m sorry.”
It’s okay. She wants to say out loud, but she only nodded in response.
Everything was peaceful for her when the train suddenly stopped, making the passengers yell and others turned nervous. But her case is different-she’ll explode anytime soon. Because of the impact, the guy’s arm lost its strength and his lips landed on her forehead. It didn’t hurt her a bit though. It was short, like it only bounced on her forehead. After that, their eyes met and they both turned to look at different sides. Their faces were cherry-red as the train driver announced that everything will go back to normal.
“I’m sorry.” He mouthed, as he gets back to his position earlier before the train suddenly stopped.
Her station came and the strain stopped, “Excuse me.” She bowed at the guy who smiled warmly at her, “Excuse me, I’m going out!” She yelled at the block of people on her way. Then suddenly, someone grabbed her hand and in a flash, she’s out the train. Exactly when the doors were about to close.
Catching her breath, she looked up at the one who helped her. It’s him. The guy who helped her inside the crowd earlier.
“Thank you, once again you’ve helped me.” She bowed lowly, “Is this your station too?”
“It’s okay, I saw you having difficulty going out so I helped you, if I haven’t pulled you out you will miss your station.” He laughed softly, “My destination is 2 stations away from here, but I guess I can take a bus from here.” He smiled.
“Oh, I’m sorry!” She bowed again.
“It’s fine, don’t mention it. I’m sorry for earlier too, I didn’t mean to-“
“No, I haven’t felt it. Haha.” She awkwardly laughed, scratching her not-itchy head.
“What are you talking about; I am referring to your hair.” His eyes became wide as her face became crimson.
“Oh nothing, nothing. I-I think I have to leave, thanks for your help.” She quickly bowed and hurriedly left the train station.
On her way to school, an auntie she knows from the school canteen came up to her, with two baskets of biscuits. She greeted her and helped her with one of the baskets.
“Good morning.” She smiled warmly, “Thank you for the help.” The wrinkles on the sides of her face folded as she smiled.
“So you fetched some biscuits? I’m gonna buy later.” She smiled.
“Yeah, I was on the same train as you.” She chuckled. “Your boyfriend looks good.” She smiled slyly.
“Oh, no, no he’s not-I-didn’t even know-“
“I remember those times when I was on your age… My husband also used to kiss me in public secretly, and it felt good.” She chuckled, “Don’t worry, I won’t tell…”
