3/15: The opening day for the Victory Tour. President Snow covertly threatens Katniss to keep in line before she's set to head off.
3/15: District 11. During the ceremony Katniss and Peeta offer a portion of their winnings to Rue and Thresh's families, an old man whistles Rue's four-note tune, and the citizens of the district give Katniss District 12's respectful goodbye signal that she gave Rue in the arena. After they leave, the man who whistled is shot by Peacekeepers before the crowd, and two more unseen people follow him. They attend a formal dinner in the district before leaving on the train.
3/16: District 10.
3/17: District 9.
3/18: District 8. A particularly rebellious district.
3/19: District 7.
3/20: District 6.
3/21: District 5.
3/22: District 4. A particularly rebellious district.
3/23: District 3. A particularly rebellious district.
3/24: District 2.
3/25: District 1.
3/26: The Capitol. Caesar Flickerman interviews Katniss and Peeta in the Training Center, during which Peeta proposes to Katniss (as was arranged by them ahead of time, in order to appease Snow). Dinner is a banquet in Snow's mansion, where Katniss notices that the mockingjay symbol has become extremely popular in Capitol fashion. They leave on the train at one in the morning.
3/27: District 12. Dinner at Mayor Undersee's house for Katniss, Peeta, and their families. Katniss accidentally sees a special television message for the mayor, about an uprising in District 8.
3/28: The Harvest Festival, during which District 12's victory rally is held.
3/29: A new, much harsher head Peacekeeper arrives in District 12, and laws are enforced much more strictly. Gale is caught poaching, and is tied up to a post in the square and publicly whipped. Katniss tries to protect him, and she is also whipped until Haymitch intervenes. Prim and Mrs. Everdeen treat them both.
3/30: The Hob is burned down, and a gallows and stockade are built next to the whipping post.
3/30-4/21: The mines are closed, and the majority of District 12 nearly starves because there's no income.
4/22: The mines reopen, but wages are cut, working hours are extended, and miners are sent into increasingly dangerous areas to work.
4/23-5/20: Parcel Day food starts arriving spoiled and rotten. People are whipped daily for minor offenses. Katniss convinces Haymitch to hire Gale's mother as a housekeeper in order to get his family some extra money, but one of his younger brothers still ends up having to sign up for tesserae. Gale and Katniss almost always stay out of the forest for fear of punishment.
5/20: Katniss's prep team arrives three weeks earlier than expected to do her bridal photo shoot. They say things offhandedly that make Katniss suspect that Districts 3 and 4 have had uprisings.
5/21: The photos from Katniss's shoot are aired as mandatory programming all over Panem, as is the announcement of what the specifications for the third Quarter Quell will be: "the male and female tributes will be reaped from their existing pool of victors". As District 12 has only ever had three victors (two males, one female), Katniss and either Peeta or Haymitch will be going back to the arena.
5/22-9/14: Katniss, Peeta, and Haymitch train like Careers in preparation for the games.
9/15: The reaping for the 75th Hunger Games takes place. Katniss is, of course, chosen, as it Haymitch-- but Peeta volunteers to take his place. They are taken to the train immediately, and are not permitted any goodbyes.
9/16: The tributes arrive in the Capital. They're made up; they meet their stylists. They take a chariot ride through the Capital to be shown off to its citizens. They're shown the luxurious living quarters where they'll stay until the Games.
9/17-9/19: Group training sessions for the tributes.
9/19: Performance for the Gamemakers and scoring.
9/20: The tributes give their televised interviews.
9/21: Right before Katniss enters the arena, she sees Cinna beaten unconscious and dragged off by Peacekeepers. The Games begin. Katniss teams up with Finnick and Mags, and later finds Peeta. They receive a spile for collecting water in the trees. That night, they're hit by poisonous gas, and Peeta is seriously injured while Mags is killed. Finnick, Peeta, and Katniss are then attacked by mutts.
9/22: Katniss, Peeta, and Finnick team up with Wiress, Beetee, and Johanna. Katniss figures out how the arena and its traps are designed. Wiress is killed by Gloss. The next trap the group is caught in involves jabberjays that perfectly mimic the screams of their loved ones.
9/23: Beetee comes up with an idea to electrocute the other remaining tributes not in their alliance, but the plan backfires. At the last moment, Katniss shoots an arrow at the force field surrounding the arena, causing a series of explosions that bursts open the arena. She's rescued by Plutarch Heavensbee in a District 13 hovercraft, as are Beetee and Finnick. Peeta, Johanna, and Enobaria are captured by the Capitol. The electricity in District 12 is cut, and then fifteen minutes later it's firebombed. About eight hundred people escape, including Gale and his family, as well as Mrs. Everdeen and Prim.
9/26: The refugees from District 12 are rescued by District 13. Katniss, Beetee, and Finnick arrive soon after.
