So, the Emmy Awards were kind of interesting in that there were a lot of seemingly upset wins (Jeff Daniels, Bobby Cannavale, etc.) and NPH is adorbs. But it was kind of lackluster in a lot of ways too

You know I watch the whole emmy broadcast... even the boring bits, except for the 15 minutes it takes me to wrangle the kids to bed. So what happens in those 15 minutes... yeah, nathan Fillion singing. Darn kids, LOL. Thank goodness for the internet to get me caught up though ;)
Castle tonight. Yay! I am hiding from most web sites today to avoid spoilers.
Ha ha. Nathan and NPH were the best part (Sarah Silverman is also talented--but not in singing, sadly).
I found the memoriums very annoying, because I *knew* they were going to gyp some people by having some "very special" tributes to a few but not to others. Critics pointed out they may have been more "special" if they actually showed the clips of those people.
I always have a problem when they don't show the clips to get a taste of why XXX actor may be nominated/win. I mean, hell, that's a way for a show to maybe get intrigued and watch a show.
I love Elton John, but that performance--yeah you were right. And I like Carrie Underwood, but ugh. Wash Post pointed out that aside from being very random to have at ALL, it was weird celebrating the 1963 50th anniversary of the Beatles on Ed Sullivan when that happened in 1964--and doing the tribute by singing "Yesterday", which came out in 1965.
Yeah, I think it should be a celebration of the nominated shows. So they definitely should show clips. Less random song numbers and very special tributes and more clips.
Oh, good point from the Washington Post. So they were really stretching with the Beatles thing then. Random!
Less for the producers: more NPH and Nathan Fillion. In most things. ;)
Aw, Nathan Fillion. I've had mixed feelings as of late, but after last night (and especially with that Access Hollywood interview) he's back in my good graces.
I didn't watch the Emmys, never bother with that anymore, as the only shows I ever watch are Castle and NCIS, and I've never been much interested in awards shows.
However, I'm looking forward to seeing what you've very thoughtfully put in here, so I can see NF "showing off" :)
And without spoiling anything, I must say that I was so relieved to be able to watch and enjoy Castle last night! I had been dreading what might happen, but it's all good! (well, almost all--those of you who've seen it know what I'm referring to, but I won't say more--except to wish it was not a two parter--hate waiting for next week to see what happens!)
