If you'd like to use a stock on a request which already has the automatically inserted validation nag, move your cursor to before the vali-nag, and then select the stock. Be sure to add spacing as appropriate.

I'm imagining that's browser-specific, as IE's behavior is to insert the selected stock at the end of any text in the box, regardless of the cursor location. (Essentially, if the nag is there and you select a stock, the stock will ALWAYS be placed after the nag, and requires a quick cut-and-paste to move it to where it belongs.)

Oh wow, that's actually the same behavior as firefox... i must have been mis-remembering (or else, my brain was substituting how I think it should work for how it actually does, lol).

tired now, I'll fix it in the AM :p

It's also frustrating when you select the wrong stock, highlight it to replace it, and then select the right one. It ends up pasting at the end, instead of overwriting. :( Anyway, not really the place to deal with that, but eh.

Welp, so far, I haven't had any trouble playing around with the stocks and seeing what's available. It's a pretty straightforward thing, methinks, although there probably aren't that many occasions where I would actually use them.

Ironically, the only stock I've pulled up for an actual answer so far was the very one that I thought I would be least likely to use. >.>;; Of course, I ended up tweaking and tailoring it to my own style and to fit the request's needs, that as you said, I might as well have written it all from scratch. XD

In any case, thanks so much for this post, and if I come up with any new questions, I'll be sure to note them here. =)

By the way, made it up to "On the Rocks" (level 32 -- or was it 33?) in Chip's Challenge this morning, and ended up having to stop there because I had to leave for work. >.> Yes, that level is very doable, but only if you have a ton of patience and time, LOL! XD

Yes, you have to have tons of patience, and finger control. It's totally "easy", unless you're like me and you keep accidently falling into the water :P
