I'm exactly reproducing the comment behavior in those two request, aside from the Friends page bit, because I'm not looking for a page that has one of your two public entries and testing the other people's doesn't work without changing my style to Boxer. In short, commenting works fine when replying to top-level comments, but not very well when posting those top-level comments.

When I click the reply icon link to ?mode=reply on the entry page, it doesn't do anything. No page load, no error, just nothing.

When I manually add &mode=reply (due to your s2id) to your entry page URL, I get a normal looking reply page where I posted a comment.

When I click the reply icon link on my test top-level comment (after switching back to your Boxer style), a normal looking Quick Reply box shows up and commenting works fine.

When I click the reply icon on serpentine's Recent Entries, it takes me to the ?mode=reply page (not Quick Reply) and works fine. I tested there instead of yours because yours switches back to your normal style ( ... )

I can't click it, I'm using Safari 2.0.3 (417.8).

But then I turned on the debug menu (So I could see if there were any JavaScript errors) and the button did work when I reopened Safari, even when I turned off the debug menu and relaunched again. Curiouser and curiouser.

I had the debug menu enabled during my original testing and it didn't work. :(

As per my comment to norinel, I've been playing around with things. Could you please try clicking the link again? (Making sure you're seeing the most recent version blah blah.)

I'm still having the problem you mention, but maybe your changes haven't gone live on the site yet?

Safari 2.0.3
