The sense of their beginning and then their separation and then the moments they made for each other? It was just so true. A beautiful, beautiful piece.

The ending hurt, by the way. Like, really. I'm crying just a little. So good, so hurty, so right. Buffy/Angel isn't right without the side of agony.

For that, he was grateful. If Buffy had died that night, Angel would have died right there with her whether he walked away or not. Thankfully, that was not the case, and there she was. And oh, God -- she was looking at him. A moment passed between them, the space between Slayer and vampire enough to make him want to weep. He didn't. Instead, he stood there, still statuesque. It took more strength than he ever would have thought he had to stand still, to not run to her and press open-mouthed kisses against her frowning lips. But he stood still. And so did she.

oh, char. oh. i don't know what else to say. i stopped right here to write this because this part? this just got to me. i am aching so hard. i want to cry. this is why they are so otp. i don't understand why you think your writing is plain.
