Interesting week so far.

The snow wars are going well. I'm honored to be a part of it now. Our teams are very equally matched. I'm on the red team but its too close of a call for me to boost like my fellow teams that we'll beat the blues. I can just say for sure both sides are getting an excellent challenge

I think the secret is don't go into much detail at all. Tell the school she was raised in a cold climate and leave it at that. And tell them that you'll try to remind her to wear her glove and hat. But honestly, it's not the school's business where she was born. Lots of young ones forget their hats, scarves and mittens. I know my boys try to run out of the house without that stuff all the time. And BJ's gloves end up stuffed into the pocket of his jacket a lot more than on his hands.

Have you considered doing the mittens on the string trick to make sure she at least brings her gloves when going outside?

Yes! I know what your talking about, the small straps with the clips on either end to go from the sleeve cuff on one end to the mittens on the other. I'll pick up a set when I go to the store today. Thank you for all your advice. It is very useful.
