Don't worry, I definitely know that Twitter's not for everyone.
I have to be careful about getting overly wrapped up in stuff, too. I specifically stopped watching Survivor after the first episode of Survivor: Africa a decade ago because I remembered how wrapped up in Australia I'd gotten, and wanted to pace myself. And it's been years since I've regularly played any games more involved than Minesweeper and Freecell; heck, I haven't played Freecell in over a year. Don't want to get wrapped up in gaming, or anime: both are so f'ing huge. Ah: I scared myself out of getting into those. Something's got to work.
I quit Farmville after it started introducing what seemed like weekly freaking additions that required 867 friends to click on your spam links. "DUDE, I'M NOT DONE BUILDING THE WANGDOODLE YOU TOLD ME TO BUILD TWO WEEKS AGO, I HAVEN'T EVEN STARTED LAST WEEK'S HOOJOBBIE, AND NOW YOU'RE TELLING ME ABOUT A DOODLEWHOPPER I NEED TO BUILD? EFF YOU!"
I'm glad the anal-retention serves you well for your schoolwork as well as in games... for me, the OCD stops at the games and everything else goes to pot!
LOL, Oh I can totally relate to a lot of this. Great job!
One of the things LJ Idol has done for me ( I thought) was to get me away from all those TV shows I HAVE to watch. Now I find that I with the help of the DVR, I still manage to watch most of them anyway. The Bachelor ends tonight but DWTS is coming right back.
I've made a decision not to watch DWTS this time - there's really no one I care about on there and in order to watch DWTS i have to sacrifice a few other shows....

I mean, I can leave it for days at a time (usually) But...I can't leave it forever (it seems.)
I'm doing better though. The first few weeks..man. How do they make games to be so addictive?
My guess is that some of us just have addictive personalities..?
