These are also the children who like to "guess" how old I am and start at 6 and go up to 80.

6? Yours are generous. My old students generally agreed I was in the neighborhood of 40.

I'm glad to see you're having fun with it! Mom asks how you're doing and how teaching's been going for you out there. Good luck, and if I don't talk to you sooner, happy Thanksgiving!

they were being sarcastic, the little snots. Hmm, I wonder if i just happened to get all the sarcastic ones or if I'm *creating* sarcasticness.

Ah, the old nature versus nurture theory of sarcasticness. Sounds like there's a research grant there for the taking. :D

aww cute :) once i was subbing for 7th graders and a girl said that i'm probably 26, because her mom is 26 and I look as old as her. i just did the math in my head and walked away ... yikes.

glad you love teaching, momo :) take care ... see you around christmas?

don't you love how it's the exact opposite of high school? Jules and I were calling bingo for the "it's almost time to kick the bucket" crowd, and you were teaching the little ones to kick the bug and step on it.

one of these days I'll actually find a spare moment and call you. one of these days:)
