I don't like my job anymore. I thought I would be ok here for awhile, but this isn't the type of work I like. Yeah, sitting in front of a computer all day has it's perks, but I am burnt out. Aw, Denny. Hang in there! Your degree is not useless. The economy sucks right now but it won't forever and sooner or later some of those old lady librarians are going to have to retire. You should also look for jobs with "information" in the title. Maybe you could get a job at a corporate library or something. I feel the same freakin' way about wanting to use my hands and do more visual stuff. My background is Anthropology/Archaeology and mapping and I miss it sooo much. Journalism is fun but it is so grey and I feel like I spend way too much time on the computer looking at text. I saw a job at the Ohio Hist. Soc. a few months ago and it looked so appealing.

I don't have loans but I am too broke to go back to get more school. I know a lot of programs will pay your way but I fear a degree would feel useless when I come out. Someone in my extended family blocked me from FB, actually I think she now has quit, but it sucked.

I just watched a Steve Jobs speech for inspiration. It is awesome and totally helped. Here's the link if you are interested: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UF8uR6Z6KLc
