What is the biggest fashion crime you can think of?
The only one that I really feel strongly about is culturally appropriative fashion, including hairstyles of course. I suppose that looking like the only place you could possibly live in this world is a loft on the L somewhere is also criminal.

Lordy how I hate that the L is my main and pretty much only connection to the mainland.

Yeah, I lived off the L for a while and felt the same way! As the months passed and gentrification continued to creep down towards my stop (DeKalb Av) my commute got more and more obnoxious.

Well, let me tell you that living only 2 stops past DeKalb at Halsey St. is also like waiting for the shoe to drop! We're just east of Bushwick, so I expect the gentrification to happen anytime now, which sucks because I am completely devoted to my gorgeous and completely affordable (for now?) apartment.

Yeah, it's just flowing on down the tracks, isn't it? It was a weird thing, living there, seeing gentrification so clearly in progress, feeling conflicted about my own role in that, feeling pissed off at people who most likely played an even more significant role in that and were either completely oblivious or didn't give a shit. Gotta say I'm glad I don't live there anymore, for that and other reasons!
