I have realized something as I meandered my way blindly to the coffee pot... I am entirely dependent on coffee to wake up in the morning. I've found that without it, the world loses a bit of its joy, colours become less vivid, the birds' chirps, less melodic. Coffee is my closest friend, one who I know will always be there in the morning (hardy ( Read more... )

Popping in to say hi!

I am a sometimes-decaf drinker. I don't get highs from coffee, you see, am more or less immune. It takes alcohol to do that to me.

So I don't mind drinking coffee for the taste. :) I love the taste of coffee- decaf, not decaf..ALL'S GOOD!

I was always fairly ambivalent to coffee. I preferred to get my caffeine from cola or Mountain Dew (elixir of life). But then my dentist scolded me (in between drilling out my teeth for fillings and crowns) about all the soda pop and restricted me to basically water, milk, tea, and coffee.

The only coffee I found that I liked was the expensive froufrou drinks at Starbucks, so I didn't do them too often. I mainly break down and shell out the money in the fall when it gets nippy out and they offer the yummy pumpkin spice stuff.

And then ... this very morning ... I discovered that White Hen has a giganto (24oz) cup of PUMPKIN SPICE cappuccino for like $1.69. Instant love. I didn't even mind the snow or the cold today because it was a good excuse for getting the giganto cup of coffee.

I think I have finally discovered an affordable anti-depressant with minimal side effects.
