Although it is kind of funny, since I've never realised it, but Beans mentioned how most of our conversations on Line start off with talks of work or dying

Listened to the Great Gatsby OST. Some of the songs are a hit and miss to be honest. Some were too 'techno-sounding' for my liking, didn't think it really fit with the theme of Gatsby.
It’s such a good soundtrack, I’m actually surprised. I like about 75% of the songs. “Young and Beautiful,” “Bang Bang,” “A Little Party Never Killed Nobody,” and “Over the Love” are my favorites. I do prefer the DH orchestra version of “Young and Beautiful” over the movie? version…
However in defence of Carol Marcus, would have to blame the writers and director for it. She could have had a bigger role and be awesome, but sadly she didn't. Considering in another 'verse, she's the mother of Kirk's only son.I loved the original!Carol Marcus. She didn’t take anything from Kirk and was a genius. Unfortunately I didn’t understand nu!Carol’s purpose. I thought the torpedo scene was McCoy was kind of dumb; I mean she was supposed be smart but instead of being able to disarm the warhead with her brains, she just pulls the circuitry out and hopes for the best.

Yes, the orchestra version is gorgeous too. I think I might have to watch the Great Gatsby to see how the music flows. :)

Lame! Yes! Exactly. She was a genius in her own right and an expert in her field. Even after David's birth, she took over, because at the end of the day, we all know that Kirk and her valued their careers before each other. And yes, the part with McCoy and torpedo scene. Although a friend was arguing why would you allow your chief medical officer to accompany her as opposed to another crew member. As what if something happened and they would be left with no CMF? If they needed

Were they giving shit for the main character? Because he wasn't white? Nope. The basic story was this, a casting call went out for a 20ish female of Indian descent and the character's name was Kali. Well, everyone in the fandom got so excited because there would be more people of color in the show. Fast forward a few months later, the creator announces the actress who got the part and instead of being Indian, she's a very pretty biracial woman (half black/white).
Queue the fandom's irrational meltdown over how he's racist because he chose a biracial actress over an Indian actress. Also how the name Kali is Indian, so she has to be Indian (because clearly nobody is allowed to possess a name that isn't a part of their culture/native country). And I recall one fan on tumblr, posted this whole series of photos about how Hollywood continually tries "to pass" one race off as another. An example, "Memoirs of a Geisha," the main character is Japanese, the actress is Chinese... Because all Asians look the same....
Generally fandom ruins it for you, I find. Or in my case. Like Hetalia...? And all those infamous and controversial things which happened...makes you embarrassed for the fandom and series.
Honestly, BBC Sherlock's fandom gets on my nerves with how stupid some of its fans act towards the actors on twitter.
I think that reminds me of those fans who bring erotic BL art or fanfic they drew/wrote to actor panels or ask awkward questions. Or fans who have trouble understanding actors are not their characters and therefore should be together because their characters are. BBC!Sherlock is to be kind, bloody insane, especially towards Elementary with the casting and complaining how that's not how Sherlock is and what not. I think some fans managed to post photos of Freeman's children. Children online and when his wife expressly said to please take them down. It's that sense of
I'm still laughing at people complaining that Johnny Lee Miller's accent wasn't British enough, when he was an English actor initially.
This was quite interesting. If it's true, then people shouldn't be blaming Benedict, since the end of the day it all falls onto JJAdams. (gawd, I nearly wrote Jar Jar Binks, again. D:)
