The thing is, I don't want to have disappeared. I want to be updating this thing, because I like reading back on entries I have written, and because I value this shiny little community, and because I want to talk to you guys. Do you watch anime at all? Fruits Basket is super funny. I also really liked the show Rozen Maiden, although some of it's later episodes are a little intense. Oh, and Princess Tutu! It's all about refracted fairy tales and the power of stories and dance.

Seems we've got different circumstances but are in same headspace re: LJ and TV so I can't help much with recs but I am taking notes of what you get from others. I've found Frasier and Will & Grace, which are both on repeat here, quite relaxing lately. Oh! A little more thinky and more serious (it's funny but more black comedy) but definitely worth checking out, now or at some point, is Slings and Arrows. Of the new shows I've got nothing other than BBC's Atlantis which started last week, adventure and so far not too suspenseful or dramatic. Considering how you felt about Teen Wolf, I'd say Sleepy Hollow is probably not your thing. So much more creepy if you ask me.
Hope you're back to a regularly stretched brain soon :D
On the plus side, I had a nice lesson with my worst class today and the boy who's on the edge of becoming a school refuser (at the age of twelve, ridiculous child) has been in two days in a row, hooray!
YAY. Is that allowed at the age of twelve?!

Not allowed, but if a kid just won't come in there's a point when you have to find alternative provision. He seems to be doing better atm though, which is nice.

Ah gotcha. STAY IN SCHOOL AS LONG AS POSSIBLE, KID! I mean, I know it's not for everyone and it can be a downright struggle for some, without even going into circumstances outside of just the learning/school aspect of it, but twelve is so young and too little education to have a good basis in this day and age, I think.
