Something like a river or a lake?

[Kono sighs - sure, she's hoping, but honestly she doubts there's really anything.]

I've made ponds for people before, but the town usually just changes it back if I try to make anything that doesn't fit in a backyard.

You can make ponds? How does that work?

I'm the Leafe Knight of Water! I can talk to water and control it and even make it!

Wow, seriously? [Of all the things Kono's heard so far, that's one of the... weirder ones.]

But you said that it just disappears, right?

Seriously!

The town doesn't seem to really like it if people change things outside their own house. It always goes back in the morning.

That's a shame. I guess so that everything can stay the same, drab and dreary right?

Yeah, the drones right? [Two of them in Kono's house.]

Thanks for the offer, but I guess I'm just going to have to deal with not being by the ocean. If I really do feel like I need something like it though, I'll know who to call. Even if it won't stick around for long.

Well, if I knew your name. I'm Kono, by the way.

Yeah. Most of the people at school are like that.

I'm Hajime. I made a salt water pond for Squid Girl, that would stay around and at least it would smell right.

[Just the thought of having a small piece of the ocean in her backyard, even it's not big enough to do anything with other than maybe soak her feet, sounds amazing.]

It did? If you make it small enough, it stays?

Yep, as long as it stays in the backyard the drones seem to think it's a swimming pool or something. Those are apparently okay.

[Too good to be true.]

Is it hard for you to do? I mean, if it's not any trouble or anything, would you mind? Just a little piece of home would help.

A little pond isn't very hard for me at all! I like to help people!
