Social links are people/beings/whathaveyou that have made an impression on Jack. If you are on here, it will do you well to be very, very careful in the near future. Because you are in very big trouble.
It is impossible for Jack to form a normal romantic relationship. It is very unlikely that he will form normal friendships as well. He is used to grading people on their usefulness to him; this is slowly changing, but it will take time.
Closeness is rated on a scale of -10 to 10, 10 (maximum) meaning that Jack's loyalty is yours. Links can be broken or reversed. A rank of 0 means that Jack has no particular opinion about you. Arcana are used to describe what position Jack ascribes you to.

Although the Hanged Man represents a view from a different perspective it represents only a catalyst for change rather then a change from tradition itself.
Glen is the only man Jack has ever loved. Prior to the mansion, that love had deepened into obsession; currently, he is trying to change this, and is having very great difficulty doing so.
Glen killed him once. Jack returned the favour.

The Fool represents a motivation; he is the innocent one who takes a leap of faith to gain wisdom and insight.
Jack is jealous of the Looking Glass; the Chain does not have the burden of his memories, and his innocence is something that even he cannot taint. He is the first person that Jack has willingly told about his heartbreak.
