"It is in the inculcation of high and pure Christian morals... (in children) that a free republic woman performs her sacred duty and fulfills her destiny..." -Daniel Webster

Interesting quote, i know how you feel of being a self taught homeschooler. it is hard, But it is God's design. He is working on you teaching you to fully rely on Him, He is going to see you through. and it can be a fun frustration.haha. God Bless, I am praying for you. SMILE :)
Ooookay... from one self-taught homeschooler to another, I am making all a's on my college papers, and my professors have been all, 'omg! wonderful paper! a+++++++!' which is stupid... because I have no concept of which part of a sentence is the subject, which is the adverb, what a compound sentence is... you know, all that fundemental junk

JEN! You are wonderful. I would love your help. The particular lesson I'm having trouble with right now is on gerund and participal phrases. The whole unit is about verbals in general, and I understood it pretty well up until now. The only problem is, I'm doing it on the computer, so I couldn't exactly bring it to church and show you the lesson. I could, however, write out some of the problems and see if we could work through it that way. Let me know if you have time.
I was actually just telling my Mom yesterday that I should start reading again. I used to read a lot, but not so much recently. Could you recommend some titles?
Im NOT a homeschooled kid but I know what its like to learn by myself too. Not all teachers actually TEACH. ooohhh fancy that! Whoda thunk?
Anyways, yeah it stinks Lynz. Honestly, my english class is a piece of cake too. It's almost a joke. WE NEVER even use that junk you're learning. The last time I remember hearing that stuff was in middle school. yeah...so just know that you'll get over it and that will just be the end of that lesson for a very very long time unless, of course, you're an english major. har! But um, you're amazing and I know you'll be JUST FINE.

Amanda, you are SOOO funny! And such a ditz! JUST KIDDING! Love you. ;-)
If inculcate means "to fix firmly in the mind by example or by repeated teaching", then you would fix firmly in the mind "high and pure christian morals" in the minds of your CHILDREN, and Daniel Webster says this is the sacred duty and DESTINY of all "free, republican women".
