They don't make buildings like that these days, not that kind of detail at least. The museum seems geared to masses of schoolkids with it's plastic, interactive dinosaurs. I have yet to see the Darwin galleries though which apparently have real specimens in formaldehyde.

When I was living in Lodnod, I always fancied moving into the fantastic gatehouse attached on the Queen's Gate side : )

Have they got rid of all those marvellous, but politically incorrect, racks of pickled, stuffed and skewered Victorian acquisitions?

see lsur's comment above, i think they moved it all to the darwin wing which isn't open until next year.
