I think you did the right thing. If they did it again after you let them off easy I would report them.

Probably the same situation as where I am at-- they make it a problem for professors as much as for the students so we are deterred from reporting while at the same time technically required to do so.

I think you should bust them. Otherwise they will probably continue to do it. Plagiarism is taken very seriously at my college and they have no problem with kicking someone out. It also upsets the other students who actually do their paper. I bust my ass doing my work, and if I found out a classmate was plagiarizing I would totally want them to get in trouble for it.

Well my university takes it very seriously too, which is why I don't want to get involved unless absolutely necessary. I do not have the energy to go to multiple hearings and all that. They got zeros and they are getting nailed on their grades for my class all around because these are loser students.
