Ravi, made it to the Summerland after succumbing to illness. He had insulinoma and adrenal disease, two common problems in ferrets that lead to death, but are manageable. Ravi was not treated properly by doctors who knew nothing about ferrets and it was only at the end of his life that I found the right person to treat him. I feel guilty for not being aggressive in my pursuit of proper healthcare for him and I am angry that I was lied to and financially swindled by some vets. I should have known better. After all, I am always questioning things and seeking alternatives. I don't know why I did not do a better job with Ravi. I was confused about the information I was getting and I guess I wanted to believe what I was being told. This is one of the consequences of my being disconnected from my life.
