Kate Tunstall (chick singer-songwriter with a lot of brains, from what I can tell.)

It's K.T., actually - and yeah, she rocks like an entire geology department. I remember a fabulous interview with her on KFOG's Morning Show where she wound up debating the merits of single-malt scotch with the resident Irishman.... ;-)

KT actually stands for Kate Tunstall, from what I've read. ;)

Funny, her bio said she's scottish but she doesn't sound it.

Now that you mention it, I remember that coming up in the same interview. And you're right about the accent - you can definitely tell she's Not From Around Here, but it's only the occasional word that has a distinct regional flavo(u)r to it.

I'm a bit of a philistine in that I like the smell of scotch, but the taste of it is generally lost on me. That said, I had a filet mignon last weekend that had been marinaded in plum sauce and Stag's Breath...that was a little piece of heaven on a plate, lemmetellya.

'Well I don't see no holes in the road but you find another place to fall.'

Hee. Smart.
