Well, in this case, it's more the accumulated damage of 9 years with the evil empire and poor priorities (work over pretty much everything else ( Read more... )

I could say something snarky around that last bit, but I won't.
I'm being behaved this week *proud smile*

I am sorry to hear about your priorities catching up with you, healthwise.
That really bites. And your eyes, oh eek~! I can't even imagine! How are they doing lately? It sounds like the meds are helping your bp, but the eye thing... oh man.

I see the Opthomologist again wednesday. My eyes are -feeling- better. I was on drops & ointment (Tobradex) to help them heal, for 3 weeks, and now am using a different ointment when I sleep to help keep them moist. So far, seems to be working.

Am I going to have to kidnap you to see you, darlin', or you going to wander up this way on your own one of these days? ;).

*hugs*

oh, btw, was watching Pen & Teller's: Bullshit last night on Showtime. Interesting segment on "traditional family" and the fact that it's largely a myth :). Part of it was an interesting polyamorous couple (one married pair, each of whom had an extra partner to give them what they didn't get from their spouse). Anyway, now I'm rambling :)

gosh, I worry about you. I am glad to hear that your eyes are feeling better... and doggonit, be faithful to the eye and bp meds.
Don't make me have to send my polar bears after you.

I love watching Penn and Teller - they always have a slanted view on things that the regular media wouldn't take on a bet *g* I'm not surprised about the multi-cornered coupling happening... to me it's a natural evolution. Most folks I know can't afford to live decently on two salaries anymore - so go fig. I know graduates of the early 80's were brought up to expect more from life. More play, more money, more toys, more everything.

For visiting, I'd love to. How are you for sometime after the beginning of July? My term ends June 30, so I'm sorta tied in til then.

*hugs!*

Well, I worry about me, too ;). Though this has prompted a reevaluation of my priorities. Work will no longer be #1. Been taking my meds as prescribed :).

They had a couple of back to back episodes of P&T last night. After they got done explaining why 1:1 marriages were the most unnatural, the second episode beat the daylights out of hypnotists :).

You find a time that works for you, I'll make it work here :). If you need a ticket, just let me know and I'll take care of that, too.

How are you feeling? Taking care of yourself, I hope?
