You know, I have a huge respect for the Natives of this country. Not just because I love and respect you and Rye, but because I have been constantly fed info about them in various courses, not all of which is accurate I am sure.
I understand what you mean, about not wanting to be under the mircoscope of some random guy, having him poke around your beliefs and stuff.
You know that I could sit for hours and listen to you tell stories, and that I would love to have you share whatever you can about your culture with me. It is something that fascinates me, not because of the alien-ness of it, but because, from what I know about Native culture (on the west coast), it is something that I could ascribe to, for my own belief system. One of my favourite memories of elementary school was learning about the Haida, and having a potlatch at the museum at the Planetarium. I know Kelly feels the same way, and that we would both love for you to come out for coffee with us, and explain and share. We should hook it up! I miss you!
Some people just don't get it. Plus its tough to tell people at work to fuck off if ya gotta deal with em on a daily basis. My tongue's gotten pretty chewed up lately cause this east indian women annoys the hell outta me. I hope she gets fired. As for religion etc. I don't talk about it unless the other person has a genuine interest and i can tell right away if they're just fuckin around. It's your perogative if you wanna talk about it, not someone elses.
