1. He keeps an ice-scraper under the seat all year long now. It's Colorado after all, and it snows. Chipping away at the ice on the windshield with a credit card isn't fun. It's one of those short ones with a good handle and the thick, plastic blade on it.
It also works well for opening Guinness when you're in a pinch.

2. He keeps a wool hat in the center console, under the loose change tray. It's not for him, but for Teal'c. Just in case. There's a little figure of Homer Simpson embroidered on the front, and Teal'c sighs heavily each time he has to wear it. Jack is thinking about buying him a T-shirt too.

3. He keeps a self-made survival kit in the small storage compartment in the back seat. It has the typical things like tools and flares and a blanket and first-aid kit, everything you need for an emergency. But it also has some other, non-typical things. Water purification tablets, MRE's, two-way radios, a disassembled pistol, ammunition, rope, topographical maps of the tri-state area and a one month supply of Tritonin. He doesn't trust the snakes, and he doesn't trust his own government to keep him safe. He knows exactly how far it is from Cheyenne Mountain to Carter's house, and from Carter's house to Daniel's condo. He has a key for each on his keyring, and a plan for every situation.
If they ever hit Earth unexpectedly, he can have them all in his truck within half an hour, give or take a crowded intersection or two. He hasn't told them about it, and he suspects he may have to force them to leave, but he's lost enough in this lifetime. He won't lose them.

4. He keeps the original Star Wars radio play on CD in his player. Teal'c got it for Christmas one year from Daniel, and he loves it. Since Jack usually drives him wherever he wants to go, it lives in Jack's truck and they have to listen to it every single time Teal'c is riding shotgun. Daniel doesn't realize that Jack has been plotting revenge ever since.

5. He keeps a pocket-sized dictionary of scientific terms in his glove-box. It took him years to find, and he paid way too much in shipping for it on Ebay. Sometimes when Sam gets going on the techno-babble, he excuses himself and comes out to his truck and looks up everything he doesn't understand.
It'd probably be more useful if he could figure out how to spell half of the words...
