I've created this account so that I can have an identity when I respond to my friends' posts, but now that I have all this scope for self-creation, maybe I'll also post some of my own scintillating observations, or illuminating excerpts from my reading, or updates on my banal day-to-day activities, or quiz results, or something.  Who knows?

I'm almost tempted to give this up now that everybody else is doing it, but I'm not nearly the elitist prick I used to be. Plus, it's one of the only tattered shreds of my social life remaining.

!!! I miss you! I've been having serious Latin nostalgia. Ubi sunt nunc the days of subjunctives and accusatives-plus-infinitives? Alas, they have passed away for me too, since I'm now staring down a lifetime of English (and not Latin) teaching. Thank heaven we all have our lack of correspondence ( =LJ lurking) to keep us in touch.
