[Background] Heather Mason was given to her adoptive father, Harry Mason, at the end of his little adventure in Silent Hill. She is a reincarnation of Cheryl Mason, Harry's first adopted daughter, and Alessa Gillespie, the apparent sacrifice who is to birth "God". She, like Harry's first adopted daughter, was given the name Cheryl and he raised her as if she were his own. When she was five years of age, she and her father were attacked in their Portland home by The Order, who had planned on abducting Cheryl. Desperate, Harry grabs his gun and shoots the man who had attempted to kidnap Cheryl. Immediately afterward, Harry and Cheryl relocate to an unnamed town, where he dyes Cheryl's black hair to blonde and renames her to "Heather".
Everything goes back to normal as Harry raises his only child by himself in the town, seeming to be the perfect father, devoted to his daughter Twelve years later, however, it seems old demons have come back to haunt the Mason's. Harry sent Heather to the mall on an errand and when Heather calls to check in on him, it is the last time the two ever speak to each other. Heather is pursued by a detective named Douglass Cartland, who informs her that he has information about his past. Wanting to escape him, Heather slips into the girls' bathroom and climbs out the window.
Once she reenters the mall, she finds that she is suddenly alone, save for the random monsters she continues to run into. As she continues her way through the mall, she encounters Claudia Wolf, a member of the cult The Order, who tells Heather that she must remember her true self and that she will be the one to lead the group to paradise. As Heather asks if it was Claudia who had called all the monsters into the mall, she begins to have an intense headache, seemingly caused by Claudia. Once it passes, Claudia has left and Heather continues on her trek to find a way out of the mall. However, as she enters the elevator, she is suddenly transported to the Otherworld version of the mall.
She finally makes it back to the real world after a battle with a powerful monster that resembles a giant worm but is much more sinister looking than anything she had seen before. Seeming confused about how she returned, she begins heading toward the subway, apparently on her way home. Along the way, she is stopped by Douglass and she begins to accuse him of being "one of them", a member of the cult. He seems to genuinely be puzzled by her accusations, only telling her that he was hired by Claudia to find her and only find her, nothing more. She blames him for dragging her into the mess she's in then leaves, heading into the subway station. When she arrives, she is pushed by something unseen onto the subway tracks, narrowly missing the train and her death. Having missed her ride home, she is forced to battle her way through the sewers of the subway.
After making it out and into a few buildings, she reenters the Otherworld by turning on the water of a bathtub. Once there, she meets Vincent, who is also apart of The Order. Heather, naturally suspicious, begins to ask him about what is happening. After getting no answers, she leaves him, battles another monster, and is finally transported back to the real world. Not wasting any time, she flees back to her house, where she finds her father slumped over in his chair, dead. She finds a trail of bloody tracks, which she follows to a different floor and finds Claudia, who tells Heather that she ordered one of her monsters to kill Harry to "fill her heart with hatred". Claudia then orders the monster to fight Heather, claiming that she would be waiting for the other girl in Silent Hill.
[Personality] On the outside, Heather seems to be the normal, everyday teenage girl; loves to shop, dresses fashionably, finds things disgusting and so on. Like most teenagers, she's also quick to get angry with something that frustrates her. Her temper seems to flare often and, when it does, she can usually be yelling, especially if it is a person who has caused her anger. She also has a rather large sarcastic and humor streak. She seems to sometimes hide behind the sarcasm, as if she is afraid to let certain emotions show, such as fear or anguish.
To those she loves and is close to, she is extremely loyal to them. This loyalty is shown countless times through out her little excursion in and out of the Otherworld, such as when Vincent made a remark about her father and she jumped to Harry's defense or when Claudia had Harry murdered and Heather vowed revenge. She seems to hold grudges and have a hard time letting things go, though it does seem obvious why she would since Claudia did kill her father. However, she never did seem to forget Vincent and his ties to Claudia when he would make an appearance, treating him as anyone would a stranger, even after the second or third time they had magically bumped into each other.
Despite all of these negative traits, Heather can be nice once she begins to warm up to someone, though her humor and sarcasm doesn't seem to tone down by much. She can also adapt well when put into a strange situation, especially if it is a dangerous situation. She tends to think on her toes, grabbing any thing she can use as a weapon and using it wisely.
[Specialties/Abilities] Being human, she has no particular ability that stands out except, perhaps, the ability to adapt quickly to her surroundings and good aim.
[Affection] Hugs: Sure, sure. But don't expect her to hug back or anything if she doesn't know you.
Kissing: Ahaha. If you can get that close.

I'm sure she's fine with everything else, such as touching and poking and what not. Not really sure if she'd dig tickling or anything. Same with cuddling and snuggling. She's not really like that.
[Fighting] You can injure her and maaaaaaybe even kill her, but... eeh. She's not excellent but she seems to know how to wield knives, guns, and blunt objects as weapons pretty well. She seems to have a good aim with guns, too, but not excellent or anything.
[Other Facts] She's also, as said before, the reincarnation of Alessa and Cheryl, which apparently means she is harboring some unbirthed god within her body. However, she does not know any of this and it's assumed that she doesn't know she's adopted by her father until after the point of cannon she's taken from. So. Mentioning this to her is, you know, not a good idea.
And, besides clothing and other things the "normal" teenage girl likes, she also has an interest in reading and the paranormal, but she rarely mentions this. She also used to smoke, though has quit for good and no longer has any need for such cancerous things.
Also, have I mentioned she's brave? Haha.
