I just finished reading The Notebook. Not seeing the movie, but I want to. I am not sure when I'll be able to go see it, but I have to now that I have read the book. I am curious to know how the movie is modified from the book
( Read more... )
Nicholas Sparks is like, my favorite author of all time.
I read the Notebook last summer and bawled like a baby. Cannot wait to see the movie.
Before I finished reading your post I was going to suggest you read Message in a Bottle. But you already have so..nevermind. LOL
A Walk to Remember...eh. I've read the book and seen the movie, and I honestly like the movie better. However, even though it starts out slow, I would still recommend reading the book at least once. There are some parts in it that aren't in the movie that makes it sweet.
Read the Guardian by Nicholas Sparks. I started it yesterday at the beach and haven't been able to put it down. I still have 100 pages to go and I'll let you know how I like the ending. I strongly suggest you read this. It's ten times better than the notebook.
Oh really? It is better?! Now you have my attention. The only problem is that since the movie has been popular. People are going out and buying the books and I can't find either book at the book stores I have been to. It annoys me, but I am sure I can find it sometime.
Don't know if you've gotten to see the movie yet, but unlike A Walk to Remember, it actually does the book justice. Beautiful, had me crying like a baby. I actually turned to my mother in the theater and said, "Don't do that to me, okay?" Which just made us both cry harder.
BTW, I'm adding you, because a) I love the Notebook and you seem obsessed too! and b) because you have Bubel-Aiken listed as an interest, and there's just not many people with that.
Yes, I have seen the movie actually. I, too, teared up and cried during most of the movie. It is beautiful and I am so impressed how it complimented the book so well. To me, it just added to the boko more and made me appreciate both. That movie I have to admit is basically at the top of my all-time favorite movie list. :)
Ok, that is fine. I am Jen by the way. :) Haha, you could say I am considering all of my icons are of the icons (I still have room for two more and I haven't had a chance to find any I want to add). Well, I truly believe in the cause and the idea behind the Bubel-Aiken Foundation. I think Clay has a beautiful idea for his intentions.
