David gets out of the car and takes a look around.

The base comes more or less as advertised: hot, not much to look at, middle of nowhere.

Kevin is hot, sweaty, just got out of PT and really doesn't need this shit.

He's currently carting large boxes of ammunition from the main storage bay to the weapons cache, and stops by the door to turn on the overhead light. Click, click. Still not working.

"The hell're YOU doin' here?" Even though he either already knows or really doesn't want to know, either way.

David looks up at the overhead light, then produces a notepad from his back pocket and makes a note: overhead light in weapons cache.

"Redfield asked me to fix some shit."

He steps up to the wall next to the door and takes the switch's cover off with his Leatherman, then shines a flashlight into the works. There's a distinct smell of something old and burnt wafting out.

Kevin grudgingly sidles away a few steps, making room. He watches over David's shoulder.

"Claire?"

It looks like the switch's contacts have corroded. David makes another note to this effect on his pad, then pockets it again.

"Chris."

He walks out of the weapons cache and into whatever room's next door, to see if anything else jumps out at him that needs fixing.
