The meeting Chris has called to order is being held in Hangar 2, where the S.T.A.R.S. road vehicle motor pool is stored in inclement weather

Chris looks up from some notes he's going over on the table and smiles.
"Hey, it was the only one left after you guys took all the other colors. Take it up with supply."
He chuckles and walks over to the bleachers, putting one foot up on the lowermost set of seats and leaning his arms over his knee.
"I've been going over your investigation into Dieback. Pretty nasty stuff. Once we wrap this job up, I'm going to be joining in with you. After what happened with that hit squad, I think back-up would be a good idea."
"Yeah," Claire says, and leans her elbows on her knees and her chin on her hands. She looks around to make sure no one else is around, then says, "It's not so much that as it's the T-Veronica thing. If somebody's still using it, then somebody still has Steve's body, or knows where it is."
Chris reaches out and puts a hand on her shoulder, squeezing briefly.
"If he's out there, you can bet I'll do everything I can to find him, Sis. And we'll make sure he gets the burial he deserves. After all, he helped you out, so it's the least I can do."
He gives a slight smile to try and lighten things up some, then continues.
"And maybe this thing we're about to do will give us some more clues."
Yoko comes in, lugging two very overpacked shoulder bags with her. She's also got her laptop tucked under one arm. "I'm here, Chris! I'm not late this time-" She cuts off when she sees what Chris is wearing.
"...Uhm. I-I'm not sure if black's your color, Chris. S-sorry. I'd be willing to swap colors? I-if that's possible." Since, y'know, her uniform's a pale green color. She busies herself with fitting a new hard drive into her computer.
"I've been monitoring the news. And so far? I've gotten no word on anything since the last news cycle. No news on what killed Wesker. Uhm. Sorry I don't have more."
Chris comes over and takes one of the bags for Yoko, setting it down gently on the ground near the bleachers. He laughs at her comment.
"Jesus, what's with you people and my uniform?"
Chris smiles, but it slowly fades away when she mentions Wesker.
"That's okay. Just do me a favor, and don't say anything else about him until I brief everyone. Need any help with that?" Chris asks as he gestures to the computer.
"Oh! Uhm, it actually looks nice on you." Yoko smiles faintly and sets the other bag down next to the one Chris took. "It's just a little strange seeing you in full uniform, that's all."
"Yes, actually, I need some help." She sets it down on the table, next to the projector. "Here." She pulls a thick black cable out of one bag and holds out one end to Chris. "Could you find an electrical socket and plug this in?"
She then holds out a thinner plastic cable. "And this goes into a phone jack. Uhm, if there's one in here." In short? Help her set up her network, Chris! Please?
Chris is glad she asked for help, because he actually got a little bit of a blush at her comment. He takes the cable and ducks down under the table.
"I'd prefer if I never had to wear one. It's mean I was out of a job, and that would be a good thing. But until people stop breaking the law, guess I'm stuck with it."
There's a grunt as Chris reaches out to fit the plug in the socket, then his hand comes back above the table and takes the phone cable like a doctor taking a scalpel in an E.R.
Believe it or not, Chris isn't an idiot. Well, not with everything. He can actually set a computer up.
Billy was a master of disappearing and reappearing at the most convenient times, it seemed. He had been gone for a good for months before, so when he waltzed through that door in uniform, he felt awkward for two reasons - one, he was actually dressed in formal military gear again and two, well, he had a lot of explaining to do.
"Heard the news," Coen murmured and entwined his fingers at the back of his head. "Sounds like we hit our big break, eh?"
Coen waved a hand and folded his arms across his chest. Obviously, this was more awkward than he intended.
"It ain't a matter of earnin' pay," he turned his head as he spoke and gave a slight snort from his nostrils. "So don't tell me it's for that. You and I both know that money means shit right 'bout now."
Chris notes his presence with a nod, but he's not gonna go out of his way to bother David. They already have a very uneasy alliance, and Chris figures David is busy fixing stuff anyway.

She stops dead when she sees Chris, then slowly sits down. "You... don't look very good in black."

She feels like a ghoul for saying this.
"I feel like I owe him a decent burial."

"Hopefully, yes. I doubt it'll be easy, but we gotta earn our pay, right?"
