I feel bad that not only have I spent most of the Christmas holiday in my room, but I forgot to get anyone but Aunt Amelia a present. Not exactly sure how that happened, to be honest. The fact that I did not have much money or time didn't help. I shall have to put my newly found knitting skills to use and make my friends some sort of goodies ( Read more... )

Susan, I'm terribly sorry for two things. Firstly for not owling you your gift and secondly for not spending more time with you, especially at Christmas.

I can make up the first thing to you by giving you your gift when I see you and the second one... well, I'll see if I can get chocolate in the shape of my apology.

Oh Ernie. You don't need to worry about a present. I'm not one for materialistic things, to be honest. Just promise me we'll hang out in the New Year.

Then again, chocolate is always good ;)

Perhaps my views on the entire subject of this isn't welcome, but I'd welcome being in your familial situation. I'd much rather have lost my whole family than the one person who I actually enjoyed spending time with, respected and liked and be left with one who doesn't care.

However, I have come to learn that these things, can, unfortunaltey not be changed. Make the best of what you have.

Whatever that is.

Oh dear Marrietta. I'm sorry to hear that you have such a trouble with your family. But make no mistake, you do not want them to go. Trust me. I would give anything to have those I've lost back, even if they turned out to be the most hateful people in the world. At least then I would have someone...even if it is someone to hate.

♥ Suzie.

I hope you have a happier New Year, Susan!
I can't imagine it being fun, being sad over Christmas.
