I'm relieved that exams are over with, but I am also sad about the end of the year. This has been my second home for seven years and come Monday, I won't be here again. I won't get to sit in the common room with my friends as we talk about school. The people I have seen on an almost daily basis aren't going to be around anymore. No more flying ( Read more... )

I know!!! I mean, I am really pleased that exams are over and everything - but we've spent most of the last seven years here, it's such the end of an era that it's going to be a bit difficult adjusting to life outside of school, I think.

Hey, you're not getting rid of me that easily, woman! I definitely think lots of visiting and hanging out will be in order.

You'll make the right decision for you. You'll see.

Oh, I know how you feel too! I won't be seeing nearly as much of Lavender. It will be like the summer holidays, only worse because there's no end in sight. This is it!

But you have a nice wedding to look forward to - and I've been working very hard on your dress. Isn't that fantastic?

It's really quite scary. We have to rely on ourselves now and hope for the best. I really, really hope that I have learned enough here to help me survive. Oh, why didn't they have cooking classes instead of Potions? I don't know any of the food charms. Oh dear.

Er... Yes, the wedding. Thank you so much for working on my dress. But please, take your time with it. The wedding is not until August, so there's still time.

I know. I think if I knew what I was doing after I leave it might be easier, but I have no future to focus on, only the past.

Hopefully you also have the present to think about, as well.

Right now, I feel like I'm just going to be sitting around for the summer (maybe longer) doing nothing exciting.

There is always the present, I suppose.

I will start searching as soon as we break up, I think. The sooner the better. Anthony, my younger brother, is starting Hogwarts in September. Starting school is so expensive.

Like Hannah? Have you talked to her at all?

I feel like the only thing I could do half way decently would be to plan weddings, and I definitely do not want to do that for the rest of my life. I don't know. Maybe I'll just get a small job, like babysitting or working in a shop until I decide what I want to do.

School really is expensive, but it pays off in the end, I think. Well, unless you don't want to do anything in the magical world and end up becoming a Muggle in the end.
