I see that it's been awhile since I've posted anything. It's not that there hasn't been anything to post and it's not like I've been too busy. Plenty has been going on and, while I have been busy, there's been plenty of downtime as well ( Read more... )

Get a note from your doctor to the effect that you are currently undergoing testing and treatment with which jury duty would likely interfere.

The note is important. If you have it, you'll be out of there quick. If not, they probably won't just take your word for it.

Sorry to hear about your health problems, too. I hope the results come quickly and they are benign. Santa Cruz is very nice to visit. Good luck with the jury duty!

I have a bachelors in Physics, and when I've mentioned that at Jury Duty..., they've dropped me like a hot potato!

How long have you been on the gabapentin? I've been on ages, so I'm not sure I notice side effects now -- within the limits of your insurance, can your doctor write for brand-name Neurontin specifically? Some people notice a difference. You could also ask about Lyrica (pregabalin), which is what gabapentin turns into in the body.

If you're still plus-size for certain clothing items (I've dropped about 15 pounds recently but will never lose the Rack of Doom), try the sales posts on fatshionista every Friday. As with any garage sale, some of the items are things you wouldn't be caught dead in, but some are gems. YM, as always, MV.

Awww, if I'd heard that you were coming up to Eureka I would have pointed out the good stuff to check out! It may get a bit scary/poor right off the main drag but if you keep heading in, you come across some really great/beautiful neighborhoods too! We have some really awesome historical things, beautiful natural surroundings, quirky and fun local towns, and a fantastic art community up here. I've been here about 8 years and love it!
