Yeah, I think the sense of community here is defined more by common interest than by geography. I've never really known my neighbors well out here.

I hesitate to point out my own experience with random at-home-automobile vandalism since it's probably an a-typical case. (In that a cranked out meth-head multipe felon had decided to walk up and down the street bashing the living shit out of cars.) Or the jack-hole who stole A rim off my car about a year ago when it was parked in my driveway. Or the shit who stole all of my music CDs out of my car.

It's sad to say but it's almost impossible to escape the touch of impersonal criminal intent these days.
