It was very interesting to have the optometrist one day and the ophthalmologist the next. Everyone in Dr. Yu's office was nice, and listened and explained and set expectations. Dr. Yu was kind and warm and patient. And there was no waiting ( Read more... )

yeah, half seeing is not as much fun as you might think. at one point on the way home today, i decided to stop in this one office building that has a food court and pick up lunch but, once in the building, I could not figure out how to get there except go down via escalator. NFW with one eye and crappy balance anyway. I just went hungry.

On the up side, I'm now in love with Lyft so while you are here, we have more options for places.

That was my experience too. Between the optometrist and the ophthalmologist (not my specialist). Very nice vs. an inconvenience, hmpf. It is very strange. Now we know. .... Great to hear about Lyft and yes, best you didn't drive anyway.

Sad the opthalmologist was a disappointment. I've had the same experience myself. Love the local optometrist, he was actually the one who found some problems and referred me to the all-business and why are you wasting my time opthal. office.

Was the issue that some of your natural lens had regrown over the artificial lens implant? My sister had that and had to have the obscuring cells lasered off.

It was described to me as a layer under the permanent lens that he used the laser to cut slit through. I don't know more.

Very disappointing about the poor experience in the ophthalmologist's office.
