The Harlot!

 The Yarn Harlot, that is.  In KnitWorld, she's a celebrity as recognizable as any Hollywood red-carpeter, and she has a new book out this spring, so she's been doing a book tour.  Yesterday, she was in Philly at the Book Festival, and that was not to be missed.

The library people weren't sure what to make of the number of people waiting for the book signing - one of them went by and said "Everyone in this line is MAKING something!" I heard that her signing was taking longer than they'd allowed and was in danger of gumming up the schedule (they had a different author speaking every hour) - I didn't see her take any pictures at the signing itself, maybe she was rushing.

Check out her blog. You can see us in her picture that she took with her sock. I think that by the time we got up there that they were probably rushing her. Shame. Well next time we will catch her at a Borders or something. GREAT TIME! Thanks for PMing and asking me to join you!

I saw that - I mean, I can tell it's us because I know where we were sitting. It's so little that I don't think anybody else would be able to tell.

Yeah, I kinda think she was rushed. I'm really glad we went together - it was way more fun than going alone!
