A very sad thing happened on the train ride from Mysore to Chennai. While messing with settings on my camera, I accidentally permanently deleted ALL of my photos from the previous week. Just a note for the future - even if you format a card, it's not until you overwrite the pictures with more pictures that they're really gone forever. There are a bunch of programs for mac and PC that can undelete them from a formatted card.

I almost wish you hadn't told me this, but I guess it's good to know for future. Beth had suggested this might be a possibility, but she seemed unsure and prolonging false hope just seemed to painful. Oh well. Still trying to look at things philosophically...somehow...
