Peter had stopped at J,GOB to pick up some pastries and bread and was swinging the box they came in with one hand and holding a cloth wrapped present with the other when he arrived at Susan's door. He rapped, careful to protect both items carried.
"It's wild rice and chicken soup. Very difficult to ruin, when it's from a tin." She laughed a little, closing the door behind him, and raised her eyebrows at the package he'd brought. "The food smells lovely, but I can't begin to imagine what else you've brought from that package. Except that it isn't alive." She smiled teasingly. "Yours is on the table."
