Sorry to disappoint, but my memories of childhood, where I mean anything through high school, really, tend to be sporadic and random at best. That is, sense memory or another trigger may knock something loose from time to time, but honestly I remember dribs and drabs at best, and often I remember the fact of something more than anything vivid. (For example, I know that I once went to the Epcot Center, and even remember of scant few details of the trip, but truthfully I couldn't really tell you what it felt, sounded, smelled or looked like for the most part. Although now I abruptly recall playing Spades in a van, which may or may not have actually been that trip.)

Dribs and drabs, as I say. Although I can tell you the names of all of my elementary school teachers. Go figure.

So is this part of how you got the name Random?

Actually, I think sporatic is how most people remember things. It is funny when talking to friends about specific events and times, we'll have lots of memories and some are in common-others we stare at the person ablank because you have no memory of something for them was a big part of it. I came across this recently while talking with my roommate from a trip to DC when we were 17.
