A bug hit a deer, or a deer hit a bug

I had a first tonight, one I hope to never experience again. I hit a deer in my bug. Luckily it was going fast and almost cleared the car, so I only caught it with my right fender. It ripped the fender most of the way off, we must have got some interesting looks with it hanging. The car drove fine, so I just came on home

My dad knew someone who hit a moose while riding his motorcycle. Both moose and person survived... although there was some serious road-rash on the part of the motorcyclist, because he basically clothes-lined himself on the moose and skidded quite some way along the ground. Leather riding gear only provides so much protection.

Glad you came through with so little in the way of damage.

Wow, moose on a motorcycle. I'm glad mine was just a deer. I got the fender off and will figure out how to get it repaired and what insurance covers next week or the next, not sure what'll be open next week.

Thanks for the card, the picture was adorible. He is such a cute little rascal. Hope you have a very Merry Christmas, he is such a great age for his first Christmas.
