Tournament!

Aaah! Sorry I wasn't able to make it to the chat; I was out of town and completely forgot to mention it. ^^;; I'm v. v. sorry, etc. =^_^= But here's my two cents worth:

(1) The tournament/Susan thing sounds like a plan to me, chiefly because there appears to be no alternate. =^_^=

(2) I don't really care if Peter has a love interest or not, but I suppose it could lend to our conflict if she was from Calormen.

(3) YAY CHICKENS. ...That is all. ^^;;

(4) Speaking about the tournament in past tense "I" like a diary entry might be a pain. Can we possibly arrange a third-person section of the tournament that would allow us to hold it in "real time" instead of writing about it afterwards? As in, "Peter levels his lance, thundered through the lists, and charges towards Rabadash" instead of "Today I leveled my lance, thundered through the list, and charged towards Rabadash." That way Rabadash could respond. Er. Any takers? I'm just thinking that might be a more fun and open-ended way to talk about things, you know? So that it doesn't all have to be a "done deal".

I've seen RP communities that do that, and just put their character's thoughts in italics or under some other heading. What do you fellow Narnians think? I think that might liberate us a great deal and make the tournament more interactive.

NOT AGAIN!

Peter is always off making great announcements without checking into the financial and domestric reprocussions first. **sigh**

...A tournament would be fun. I hate to admit it, but the very thought stirs up the blood in my veins. I have always loved the pageantry of mock battles -- banners flapping in the breeze without blood being spilled. I know it takes the savageness out of battle, but as a woman, that's really the way I prefer it.

And, much as I hate to admit it, there's a certain part of me that longs to take up arms with them. I'm used to wearing light clothing, unlike these gowns, and riding on horses: I have a bow, and a horn, and stood with Aslan in fighting the darkness that the White Witch spread.

I know a woman's place is in the castle and things are done differently here but -- don't anyone tell Lucy -- I still want to be out on that field.
