Wow, so this took a little longer than expected. I haven't written about films since I wrote my last UCSB essay, and I haven't done a top ten since 2001, I think. I have to say you really hit the top 10 this year. I have to say I agree with all except I have never seen Oldboy. Other than that I agree with you, particularly about Munich. Slightly flawed, yet wonderfully entertaining. Eric Bana was much a delight, although I heard the Australian accent slip. Damn the editor for not having Bana loop those lines. Minor mistake. I hope all is well and by the way did u see Brokeback Mountain?

hey dude, its maya your old Mandeville intern pal.
I agree with 70 percent of your top ten picks, however, as a fellow film studies alum, and this is said strictly on cinematic splendor...What happened to brokeback???? Seriously, even if I were not gay, one has to acknowledge the cinematic history that is being made...Ang Lee is no activist. He made a beautiful film. But its cool, I totally agree with your offerings, just was wondering what your reasonings were in terms of Ang Lee's most recent offering. But u hit the nail on the head, with Capote, Good Night, Constant.., and Crash...:)

Hey Clay, it's Lou anonymous February 12 2006, 21:33:04 UTC
You are my brother, and because I don't know what a lot of the descriptive words you used in your top 10 mean, I take that to represent your superiority of knowledge over my own. Which can only mean that you will become rich and famous as you whoa Spielberg with your script on Brokeback Mountain 2: Revenge of the Backdoor Brother. Anywho, I'm going to go do laundry. Keep up the brilliance and continue your networking skills with the Big Guys in NoHo.
Love Lou
P.S. I just burned a few Girls Gone Wild off a friend, and I think you could learn a thing or two from the persuasive power of the camera guys that are convincing intoxicated girls to do excellent things. Genius!
