I won’t even begin to speculate how many dollars I spent upon music, new and used, this past year, but I will say this: it was a fucking good year for tunes. The teenyboppers and their so-called “radio” finally caught on, playing everything from dance-punk to Jimmy Buffett. Indie decided to go folk, mainstream sort of went country, and everywhere
