I've had a short while to think about it, and I've mellowed a bit on the whole wallet thing. I'm still upset--both the wallet and the ipod were gifts, and I was fond of them both--but, hey, some people have real problems, right? but maybe someone overheard me giving me combo? or someone saw me opening my lock? or maybe i didn't close my lock properly? the latter seems a little unlikely because i usually check pretty carefully, but i WAS in a hurry to meet up with someone, so it's possible. originally, i thought i had been in such a hurry that i had dropped my wallet entirely. but that was before i realised that my ipod was also missing.

it's hard to get angry at cancer. it's very easy to get angry at the douche that had no respect for another person.

it's just i've lost things that are replaceable, even if those things are annoying and inconvenient to replace. this is frustrating at the moment, but not a major life event.
probably the most upsetting aspect is that someone violated my privacy. it's easy to lose faith when people show such little respect for one another, especially for a whole whopping fifteen dollars and a two-year-old ipod.
