"I Agree With Me" by P.J. O'Rouke

In the essay “I Agree with Me” by P.J. O’Rourke he talks about politicians. Since I know close to nothing about politics and do not keep up with it. I found this piece extremely difficult to understand. Between the language and my personal lack of knowledge in regards to politics, after reading it three times I feel just as puzzled.

Nice job with the blog! i was in the same situation at first when reading this, because i too no nothing about politics so i also found this difficult to understand. You seemed to have got the main idea and purpose of this essay which was good and as for the audience i wasn't quite sure but i do agree with you on that it was directed towards people who have a better understanding of politics.

as for your question, i do agree with O'Rourke when he says that we should challenge our ideas but im not sure if arguing is the best way to decide things. I mean in the heat of the moment it can sometimes feel asthough agruing is the only way to get your opinion across, but maybe its not quite the best way to make up your own mind?
